By downloading, installing, or using DriveReady Coach, or by using drivereadycoach.com, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the app or this website.

What DriveReady Coach is

DriveReady Coach is a supervised-driving log and coaching tool for a parent, family member or driving instructor supervising a learner driver’s practice. It helps you plan practice drives, follow a skills checklist, record drives and track progress toward your required hours. The app is free to download and the first drive that lasts 10 minutes or more is free. Continued use, including progress tracking and export, is available through a one-time in-app purchase for each country.

Not driver training, not an official assessment

DriveReady Coach is a practice-planning and tracking tool. It is not driver training, it is not a substitute for a licensed driving instructor, and it is not an official assessment. Skill ratings, GPS-detected events and progress shown in the app are for practice purposes only, and they do not predict or guarantee the result of a road test or any licensing requirement.

DriveReady Coach is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or sponsored by any provincial, state, or national government or licensing authority. All official rules, regulations, and licensing requirements are governed exclusively by your own jurisdiction’s licensing authority. If anything in the app or on this website conflicts with official materials from your jurisdiction, your jurisdiction’s information takes precedence. Logs and PDFs created by the app are for your own records and may not be accepted by your licensing authority as official proof of hours, so check its requirements.

Who should use it, and safe use

DriveReady Coach is intended to be used only by the supervising coach — the parent, family member or instructor — not by the learner driver, and never in a way that distracts anyone from driving safely. The learner driver should never operate the app while driving. The supervising person is responsible for the safe operation of the vehicle and for following their own jurisdiction’s learner licence rules, including any supervisor and passenger requirements. GPS speed and distance are estimates and may be inaccurate, so they do not replace the vehicle’s speedometer or posted speed limits. Use of GPS is optional, and how location data is handled is described in our Privacy Policy.

Purchases

DriveReady Coach is free to download. After the free first drive, each country is unlocked individually with a single one-time purchase (not a subscription) processed through the Apple App Store or Google Play. Pricing, billing, and refunds are governed by their own terms and refund policies — we do not process payments or refunds directly. You can restore a previous purchase on a new or reinstalled device using the same Apple or Google account. Refund requests must go through Apple’s Report a Problem or Google Play’s refund process. On iPhone, Apple’s standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies.

Your data and backups

Your drives, notes and progress are stored only on your device. If you delete the app or clear its data, they are erased and we cannot recover them. You are responsible for saving your own copy using the backup feature in Settings.

Age and parental permission

If you are considered a minor where you live, you need a parent or legal guardian’s permission to download DriveReady Coach, make a purchase, or use the app to supervise a drive. Purchases are made through your Apple or Google account, which has its own age requirements.

Acceptable use

You agree not to reverse-engineer, decompile, resell, redistribute, or scrape content from DriveReady Coach or this website, and not to use either in any way that violates applicable law.

Intellectual property

All content in DriveReady Coach and on this website — including design, checklist content, and branding — is owned by DriveReady Coach unless otherwise noted, and may not be copied or redistributed without permission. You receive a personal, non-transferable licence to use the app.

“As is,” no warranty

DriveReady Coach and this website are provided “as is,” without warranties of any kind, express or implied. We work to keep the app accurate and reliable, but we don’t warrant that it is error-free or available at all times. To the fullest extent permitted by law, DriveReady Coach is not liable for any damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the app or this website, including any accident, injury or penalty arising from driving.

Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms of Use from time to time. Continued use of DriveReady Coach or this website after changes are posted means you accept the updated terms. The “Last updated” date shows the latest version.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Alberta and the federal laws of Canada that apply there, regardless of where you live or where you downloaded the app, and without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Any consumer-protection rights you have under the laws of your own country that cannot be waived are not affected.
